The internship is part of this context and focuses on a subset of activities aimed at developing new generations of digital industrial machinery capable of collecting, processing, and enhancing operational data to enable advanced services for operators (intelligent monitoring, predictive assistance, process optimization). Activities and Responsibilities * Collection, storage, and analysis of data and images from industrial machines; * Use of AI and computer vision algorithms to interpret machine behavior and assess states, anomalies, or production progress; * Generation of insights, predictive suggestions, and prescriptive recommendations to improve performance, quality, and operational continuity. During the internship, the intern will have the opportunity to collaborate with the solution development team in the following project phases: analysis of production processes, information flows, and interviews with technical and operational stakeholders: * Definition of the functional requirements of the solution; * Design and development of back-end components for the collection and management of production data; * Design and implementation of AI and computer vision algorithms for image processing; * Definition and development of communication interfaces between the cloud platform, edge IoT modules, front-end, and third-party systems. The software modules developed by the team will be tested in the laboratory to verify compliance with the defined requirements. A validation phase of the solution in an industrial plant may also be included. The internship also offers the opportunity to interact with client companies and research centers, with participation—when necessary—in meetings held on-site or remotely. A good command of the Italian language is therefore required.
