Our team at the BMW Group explores the optimization of passive restraint systems using machine learning. We aim to enable full adaptivity of vehicles to various crash scenarios and passenger anthropometries, offering you the opportunity to support innovative occupant safety development during your internship. What awaits you? You will support running crash simulations to compare Human Body Models and crash dummies. Furthermore, you help to define objective functions based on injury metrics for both Human Body Models and dummies. In addition, you contribute to developing and optimizing neural networks for restraint system setup. Moreover, you will assist in comparing neural network-based restraint systems to conventional deployment strategies.
