As part of your training at IFP School, we invite you to join us as an apprentice within a team in the Processes Department at Technip Energies Lyon. You will work in the areas of the circular economy for plastics and the energy and environmental optimization of processes. We will help you grow through our projects and technological development initiatives in these fields. We will assign you tasks that align with your skills and interests. The apprenticeship program will cover the following technical, energy, environmental, and business topics: * Technological development and scaling of innovative processes in recycling and the energy transition. * Energy optimization of processes (using the Pinch method). * Comparative technical and economic studies of chemical recycling technologies (pyrolysis, gasification, depolymerization, purification). * Assessment of the environmental performance of plastic recycling and energy transition technologies (using a life cycle analysis approach). * Legislation related to the energy transition and the circular economy. Through this project, which addresses a critical societal issue, you will have the opportunity to gain experience at every stage of the engineering process: process development, master planning, preliminary and basic studies (conceptual study, feasibility study, Process Design Package), Front-End Engineering Design, and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction. The work you complete will enable you to master: * Process flow diagram development: selection of unit operations and simulation using Aspen Plus and Aspen Hysys. * Preparation of Process Flow Diagrams and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams. * Preparation of material and thermal balances, as well as utility and effluent balances. * Calculation methods and tools for process engineering sizing. * Sizing and specification of equipment, instruments, and piping. * Heat transfer, heat exchanger sizing, and the PINCH method. * Major technical reviews conducted during industrial projects: PID review, HAZID, HAZOP. * LCA-type studies using SimaPro® software. * Regulations in Europe, the U.S., etc., regarding the energy transition and circularity. During this training, you will be supported by a mentor who will guide you, monitor your progress, and answer your questions.
