We are part of a Local Authority dedicated to championing change for children. The role will assist in the provision of legal services to the Statutory Interventions Team, including undertaking a full range of routine and complex administrative legal case work such as the writing and submission of court documents and issuing of Penalty Notices for unauthorised absence from school. The role is part of a wider statutory intervention team and involve liaising and working alongside the Statutory Intervention lead and wider legal intervention team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as the role involves communication with parents and professionals on legal matters so some experience of legal work would be an advantage. The ability to prioritise workload to meet tight legal deadlines is essential and the ability to work independently. You will need great organisational skills, accurate minute taking skills, can work under pressure, excellent communication and MS Office skills and a desire to make a difference to the families we work with. The role will be based at either County Hall, Lewes, St Mary’s House, Eastbourne or Cavendish House in Hastings.
