We are looking for an intern to join us this summer, working in our Scarborough branch. Our decentralised business model is key to its success. Each branch operates as a small business, enabling it to make decisions locally and to provide a service that is truly bespoke. Whilst key steering systems are in place to guide them; the branch is granted full autonomy to decide the structure and pricing of products, which directly benefits the customer through swift decision-making. During your internship, you will be working in a small team of financial professionals, accountable for providing a bespoke customer experience. There will be ample scope for you to develop your banking knowledge within both the Individual and Corporate markets. The branch has a diverse customer base and you will have the opportunity to engage with customers and professionals at all levels throughout a variety of customer journeys. Our Summer internship programme runs from 29th June to the 4th September. We are looking for individuals to commit to the full ten week duration of our internship programme. As an intern you’ll follow a structured programme: - Real insight into our culture and organisation. - Opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within Banking. - Understanding the core principles of our business, before taking on your own responsibilities that will see you gain hands on experience and develop skills for the future in a friendly and supportive environment. - You will be assigned a buddy and have regular check in with your line manager. - During the programme you will also work with other interns on a business project, giving you the opportunity to further develop your team work, creative thinking and presentation skills. - By the end of the placement you will have delivered work and projects that add value to the Bank, developed your skills and have the potential to continue your career with us. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment that supports your development and helps you achieve your potential.
