Job Description

As an Apprentice Building Surveyor, you will support the upkeep, safety and long‑term condition of our managed pub estate OR our Pub Partners (lease & tenanted division) while learning how to deliver professional surveying services across a varied portfolio. You’ll spend time in the field, at our Burton and Bury office and working closely with our Regional Surveyors to develop your technical skills. Due to expansion, we are looking for two Building Surveyor Apprentices to join our team, this is a Field based role with the requirement to attend Nottingham University 1 day per week. The apprenticeship is five years, plus additional 6-12 months for assessment completion.

Requirements

Carry out building surveying duties across a designated region, supporting the maintenance of a diverse range of pubs.
Assist with annual property inspections, prioritising repairs and scheduling planned preventative maintenance.
Work closely with Operations teams, providing technical advice on repairs and maintenance.
Support the management of capital and revenue budgets to deliver best value.
Contribute to statutory compliance work, including fire risk assessments and asbestos processes.
Strong communication and organisation skills with great attention to detail.
Problem‑solving ability and a logical, analytical approach to work.
Teamworking skills with the confidence to collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
Full UK driving licence.
GCSEs (grade 5 or above) in Maths and English, plus eligibility to meet NTU entry requirements.
