Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and talented student who wants to make an impact by shaping next-generation products at ZEISS. Together with a team of students, scientists and research engineers, you will design, implement, and evaluate an innovative light microscope. You will assist in building a microscope, adjusting components, operating a scientific camera, and measuring samples systematically. The focus is on the design and construction of an optical subcomponent.

Requirements

  • You are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master's degree in physics, engineering or related fields
  • You have experience in optics and a hands-on mentality
  • Experience with 3D printers, camera-based systems and/or image processing is a plus
  • You are interested in technology and motivated to cooperate on demanding tasks
  • You are enthusiastic to learn and explore with a high degree of initiative and creativity
  • You are committed to collaborating in cross-functional teams
  • Good communication skills in English and/or German
