Job Description

🚀 The internship is part of the OPENINGS, BODY&PLATFORME Department within Renault Technologie Roumanie. Welcome to the future… to Drive Your Future, our internship program designed so that you are at the center of the experience. If you want to learn, contribute, and grow in a professional, dynamic, and international environment, this program is for you! Duration: 3 months Schedule: 30 hours/week (6 hours/day) Location: Bucharest Working Type: hybrid (3 days at the office, 2 days from home) 🔍 Why choose Drive Your Future? * You bring motivation → We offer real, impactful projects. * You are curious → We give you access to expertise and people you can learn from. * You seek clarity → We provide structure and guidance. * You want impact → We involve you in global projects. * You think long-term → We offer you a START to your career. 🛠️ What will you do? Context Within the development of trunk door systems, robust parametrized models are required in CATIA V6, allowing efficient adaptation to geometric and functional variations of the vehicle. Additionally, electric gas stay simulations play a key role in evaluating the opening/closing performance of the trunk door. Modeling the equilibrating law is essential for the correct sizing and validation of the tailgate kinematic system, ensuring user comfort and compliance with effort and safety requirements. Intern Responsibilities: * Research on: + automotive trunk door trims (materials, interfaces, constraints), + gas stay technologies, including electric actuated gas struts and their kinematic behavior, + functional requirements: assembly, tolerances, integration. * CAD analysis of mounting areas and trim interfaces in CATIA V6. * Creation of a parametric CAD model, including: + definition of the geometric skeleton, + creation of parameters and relations (Knowledge Management), + design table setup for variant management. * Simulation of electric gas stays, including: + force–displacement curve interpretation, + evaluation of opening/closing comfort, + kinematic analysis under different loading conditions, + integration with trunk door geometry. * Development of an equilibrating law calculation model, including: + geometric setup (axes, arms, points), + modeling of moments and forces, + correlation with gas stay simulation results. * Testing and validation across several trunk door configurations. * Preparation of a technical report and a final presentation.
