Our apprenticeship programme allows you to earn a competitive salary and develop new skills while working in a progressive, diverse, energetic and stimulating environment. After gaining valuable knowledge and practical experience, you will start to study towards your chosen professional qualification. There are several professional qualification options to choose from which are dependent on the department you join: • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) • Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) • Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI) • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) • Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) • Association of Taxation Technician (ATT) • Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) We are hiring in the following locations and Business Units: • Aberdeen (Audit, Business Advisory, Corporate Tax) • Edinburgh (Audit, Business Advisory, Innovation Taxes) • Glasgow (Audit) • Stirling (Payroll) We are also delighted to offer Graduate Apprenticeships and through this programme, and students following this path will be able to work towards a university degree and either ICAS or ACCA. Our application process is straightforward and designed around the fact that we want to get to know you. Our application process consists of: 1. Online application form 2. Video exercise – the elevator pitch 3. Interview 4. Job offer Apply here: https://aab.uk/about/careers/early-careers/apprenticeship Applications will close on Friday 6 March 2026. As an equal-opportunity employer, we encourage diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We encourage candidates from all protected characteristics and commit to providing any reasonable adjustments you need during the application and assessment process and upon joining AAB. If you would like to discuss any adjustments you may require throughout the recruitment and selection process, please contact [email protected] Please note at the time of starting your employment, you must have the right to work in the UK. What will I learn? Your training will be fully funded, and generous study leave is provided. While studying you will be supported by encouraging and approachable team members, most of whom will have been through studies themselves. We encourage our trainees to become all-round business advisors and so along with professional study we place equal priority on providing support to enhance the development of professional skills, including presentation, communication and teamwork. As part of our apprenticeship programme, you will also be joining our other trainees undertaking internship, student placement and graduate trainee roles and learning alongside them. We are a very social firm, value good relationships and encourage participation in the numerous sports, social and fundraising events organised by Social Club and through AABIE. What qualifications or qualities are required? We welcome applications from all backgrounds and the most important part of our recruitment process is finding students who can demonstrate our group values. A growth mindset with a desire to learn and grow professionally along with a passion for providing a client service that goes above and beyond is also a must. We look for minimum grades as follows, Scotland 4B’s at Highers, England 3B’s at A level and Ireland 4H4’s in Leaving Certificate.
