As an intern within the Philips IP&S Corporate Standardization Department, you will contribute to the development of new standards aligned with Philips’ strategic needs, including wireless connectivity and healthcare interoperability. Wireless communication standards continue to evolve, with 6G representing the next generation. 6G is expected to enable more ubiquitous connectivity through the integration of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, integrated communication and sensing, the use of AI/ML techniques, and enhanced security. In this 6 to 9-month internship, based in Eindhoven, you will: Conduct research in the field of advanced wireless communications. Contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of innovative techniques for 6G communication systems. Analyze and validate research results through simulations and prototyping activities. Document and report research outcomes, for example via academic publications or contributions to standardization bodies. Collaborate with researchers and engineers in an international, multidisciplinary environment. Research topics will be defined based on your interests, skills, and academic background and discussed during the interview process. This internship offers hands-on experience at the intersection of research, innovation, and global standardization.
