The Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) team within Sensor & Cartridge (S&C) Operations supports the manufacturing processes and quality control of Roche Blood Gas and Electrolyte sensors and reagents. Our systems are vital diagnostic solutions that deliver fast and reliable results in medically critical situations – including intensive care units, emergency rooms, operating rooms, and neonatology. We are responsible for the continuous improvement of product quality and the increase of cost efficiency. A key focus is the implementation of new product developments into the routine process using the Design-for-Manufacturing approach. As a dynamic, interdisciplinary team (Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, etc.), MSAT acts as scientific and technical support for ongoing production and establishes control mechanisms for critical process parameters.
