Our trainee roles are designed to turn motivated individuals into confident, competent professionals, supported every step of the way. As a trainee, you won’t be left to figure things out on your own. You’ll work alongside experienced consultants, gaining hands-on field experience while learning how compliance works in real environments, not just on paper. Depending on your interests, trainees can develop expertise across areas such as: Asbestos: Learning how asbestos is identified, assessed and safely managed within commercial and public sector buildings, with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and protecting building users. Legionella: Gaining structured training in water system risk assessment, monitoring and control, ideal for those who enjoy methodical work, technical understanding and problem-solving. Fire Safety: Developing an understanding of fire risk, life safety principles and how effective fire risk management protects people and property, going far beyond box-ticking exercises. Health & Safety: Building practical skills in assessing real-world risks across estates, communal areas and public spaces, helping create safer environments for people to work, live and visit. Our trainee pathways combine structured training in your chosen discipline with close mentoring from experienced industry specialists, giving you hands-on site experience from day one. Alongside practical learning, we support you in achieving recognised industry qualifications and provide clear progression routes, allowing your skills, confidence and responsibility to grow over time. If you’re curious, committed and want a career where learning never stops, a trainee role at Summit Environmental can open the door to long-term progression within a growing, respected consultancy.
