**Applications are open exclusively to current second-year students at Northumbria University** ABOUT THE ROLE Are you a marketing student who wants to do more than observe? This placement puts you at the centre of real campaign delivery — writing content, maintaining web pages, analysing performance data, and helping to attract the next generation of Northumbria students. As a Student Placement within our UK Marketing and Recruitment Team, you'll be supporting the full cycle of marketing activity — from content planning and creation through to campaign delivery and performance reporting. You'll report to our UK Marketing Coordinator (Web & Content) and work across digital, print and web channels to help us reach prospective students at every stage of their decision-making journey. This is a role for someone who's equally comfortable crafting a well-worded webpage as they are digging into a spreadsheet or supporting a busy Open Day. If you want a placement that genuinely develops your all-round marketing skillset, this is it. This placement is a fixed term role lasting 12 months, starting in September 2026 and ending in August 2027. Further information is available in the job description. ABOUT THE TEAM The Marketing team is located in Pandon Building at our Newcastle City Campus. You will be working in a busy, multi-branched department with around 175 members of staff. The variation of work creates a vibrant and absorbing environment where you will not only get to work on your own tasks, but collaboratively with your team. You will also play a vital role in other activities that support the objectives of the wider department. ABOUT YOU To be successful in the role you will: * Be well organised with the ability to meet deadlines. * Have the ability to work on your own initiative, and collaboratively as part of a team. * Have strong IT skills with experience in the Microsoft Office suite. * Have excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. * Have strong attention to detail, with the ability to think creatively and methodically to solve problems. * Be a current Northumbria second-year undergraduate student, looking for a placement in their third year.
