Join ESA's mission on 5G/6G technologies and AI in satellite communications. You have: Just completed or in the final year of a master's degree in networking and data communication, telecommunications systems or a similar discipline. Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment, both independently and as part of a team. Experience in a 5G or TN/NTN laboratory environment is beneficial. Work experience in AI for networking and/or industrial applications is also beneficial. Proficiency in mobile network architecture, for example Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and radio access networks (RAN). Knowledge and background in telecommunication network architecture, preferably satellite communications. Knowledge of future cellular communications, such as 5G and 6G. Knowledge of advanced computer science topics including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. Knowledge of mixed reality development and programming, for example AR, VR and XR. Experience of 4G/5G core architectures and mobile network protocols. Experience with large language models, foundation training models and computer vision. Experience with Python and C++.
