We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer Intern to join us in scaling our platform, digitalising businesses across Asia, uplifting rider livelihoods, and building a hyper-convenient experience for our customers. Responsibilities Gain exposure by working in a cross-functional product team to design and build backend services that support our products across global and APAC markets. Learn and apply modern backend development practices, including building APIs and services that power customer-facing applications. Assist in developing, maintaining, and improving scalable backend systems and services. Understand and apply software design principles (e.g. SOLID) and common backend design patterns. Write clean, testable, scalable, and maintainable code in accordance with company standards and best practices. Contribute to backend features that run on a high-scale technology platform serving millions of users. Gain first-hand experience in building, testing, and operating distributed systems in a production environment. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
