













Role Purpose To develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to become a multi-skilled maintenance engineer within a food production environment. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support the maintenance, repair and continuous improvement of production equipment while completing a recognised engineering apprenticeship. Health & Safety Responsibilities As an apprentice, you will: • Follow all site Health & Safety procedures at all times • Complete required Health & Safety training • Work under supervision when carrying out maintenance activities • Immediately report hazards, near misses or unsafe conditions • Adhere to clean-as-you-go and food hygiene standards • Wear appropriate PPE at all times Safety is not optional in food manufacturing. It’s the baseline. Key Responsibilities (Under Supervision) • Perform core engineering activities • Assist engineers with breakdown response and fault finding • Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities • Learn the importance of environmental good practices and sustainability. • Maintaining, diagnosing and resolving faults for the engineering asset. • Inspect and testing of the engineering asset. • Learn how to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment • Observe and gradually support PLC and automation fault diagnostics • Assist in maintaining engineering documentation • Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve OEE • Attend team meetings and contribute ideas • Maintain high standards of hygiene and GMP compliance What will I learn?
