In the Execution Environments & Innovative Computing Methods department, we bring together novel AI methods and challenging execution environments. In particular, we focus on the energy-efficient implementation of AI for mobile systems, quantum AI and neuromorphic AI approaches. The department thus provides innovative AI approaches for use in safety-critical applications. As part of our scientific outreach, we are building a physical demonstrator to showcase the fundamentals of quantum computers and quantum machine learning. This demonstrator will be used at exhibitions and conferences to not only engage the public in quantum computing, but to also demonstrate our current research in the institute. This student position will focus on building this demonstrator.
