We are looking to recruit a talented Front End focused Software Developer to join our Bristol team. The role will focus on working closely with our Traders and Data Scientists to design, implement and maintain various visualisations and interfaces as part of our in-house trading suite using React.js. This suite provides our Traders with all the information they need to excel in the UK and European energy markets. As part of our commitment to optimizing developer workflows, enhancing performance, and minimising technical debt, we are in the process of transitioning to Remix. This transition aims to streamline our development process by eliminating our Python API, improve the overall performance of our trading suite, and ensure our technology stack remains modern and efficient. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to create specialized front-end tools that empower Outlook to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamic electricity markets and capitalize on emerging trading opportunities. Collaborating closely with our Traders, your work will involve designing and developing new features, building reusable components, and manipulating queried data to present valuable insights. Additionally, you'll work alongside our traders and data scientists to continually enhance and refine our existing tools, ensuring they remain aligned with the evolving market landscape and datasets. The tools and visualisations that you create and bring to the browser are used by our Traders to turn a profit and concurrently help the UK energy sector by providing liquidity, security of supply, and the smooth integration of renewables.
